Woohoo!!!

That's right, I'm done! 1L is officially over (except for the writing competition, but that Blue Book can wait).

[Breathes a deep sigh of relief]

Now to wait for those grades, which will determine what job I can get next summer.

[The anxiousness in the pit of my stomach returns.]

The father of a good friend, LWRB, fell asleep in the Lord this morning. I never knew the man but I mourn him for my friend's sake; she is among the kindest and most generous people I know, and that speaks volumes about the man's character.

May his memory be eternal, and may his family find some comfort in this very difficult hour.

Christ our Lord, grant rest to your servant among Your Saints, where there is no pain, sorrow or suffering, but everlasting life.

With the righteous who have reposed in Your peace, grant rest, Savior, to the soul of your servant, and bestow upon him the blessed life which is from You, merciful Lord.

Lord, remember Your servant who has fallen asleep in the hope of the resurrection. Forgive him every transgression in thought, word or deed. Grant him peace and refreshment in the place of light where Your glory delights all the Saints. For You are the resurrection, the repose and the life of Your departed servant, and to You I give glory, now and forever. Amen.

Christ is Risen!

I'm a little late with this, but at least it's still Bright Week.

Christ is Risen! He walks among us. May we one day walk with Him.

Christ is Risen from the dead. By Death He has conquered death, and granted Eternal Life to those in the tombs.

(That really is a beautiful hymn, by the way; the English just doesn't do it justice.)
